Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County is pleased to announce the election of new leadership to its Board of Directors, as well as the addition of a new board member, all effective July 1, 2025. Habitat Bucks extends sincere gratitude to the outgoing Executive Committee members, who generously shared their time and talent with the organization over the past two years. They include Anu Hans, President; Mike Wilson, Vice President; Sean Torpey of Pennoni, Secretary; and John Mahony, Treasurer. With their support and dedication, Habitat Bucks advanced its mission in confidence, building homes and hope across the county. Habitat Bucks is proud to welcome its newly elected Executive Committee members, who will help guide the organization’s strategic direction as it enters its 35th year: - Mike Wilson, President (Doylestown) - John Mahony, Vice President (Newtown) - Tony DaCosta, Secretary – Tony is Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Consumer Services at Univest Bank and Trust Co. (Souderton) - Dave Freeman, Treasurer – Dave serves as President and CEO of QNB Bank (Quakertown) Each elected member played a critical role in the development of Habitat Bucks’ 2025-2027 Strategic Plan, designed to create greater community and program impact while supporting organizational stability. Habitat Bucks is also delighted to welcome Kate Shepherd, Senior Vice President and Regional Commercial Lending Manager at C&N Bank (Doylestown) to Habitat Bucks’ Board of Directors. Kate brings exceptional financial leadership and valuable community insight that will strengthen the mission of Building Communities and Empowering Families through attainable housing. Florence Kawoczka, CEO of Habitat Bucks, expressed heartfelt thanks to all board members—past and present—for their commitment to our neighbors. “Their support has helped 134 individuals and families achieve the stability and opportunity that begins with a safe, attainable home,” Kawoczka said. “Together, we are continuing to build a future where everyone has a decent place to live.” The team at Habitat Bucks continues to work toward equitable access to housing in Bucks County through innovative programming, including its homeownership, home repair, and financial empowerment programs.
